Chris Rogers - Courier Franchisee (North East)

Top

Chris Rogers is a Courier Franchisee in the North East region. Having worked in the pub trade in Ireland and England, Chris decided that he wanted more control of his future and did just that by buying into the Fastway Courier Franchise opportunity.

From when he commenced operations back in August of 2005 until today, Chris has managed to more than double his earnings. From that time he has developed a customer base to in excess of 70 customers, all of whom are regular customers of Fastway Couriers.

His strategy for success - "By developing a good relationship with the customers", and as for developing brand awareness in his territory, he says "word of mouth has been a major factor".

In response to ongoing growth potential, Chris has decided to split his territory and sell to a new Courier Franchisee, in order to concentrate on Ashburne in particular.

Good luck Chris!

Willie Day - Courier Franchisee (South East)

Top

When Fastway Couriers was starting up in the South East in January 2003, Willie Day was among the first 5 Courier Franchisees to purchase a territory.

Starting from a zero position, in just nine months Willie’s franchise was bringing in €800 to €1,000 per week from a base of 50 customers.

Previously the owner of a business that employed over 25 people, Willie says, “I thought a Fastway franchise was a good opportunity for success in a new career.”

Married with one child, Willie puts his success strategy down to “hard work and commitment,” attributes that his achievements clearly demonstrate.

Not content to stop there, Willie has now sold his Courier Franchise and taken a step up the ladder to become a partner in the South East Regional Franchise. Regional Franchisees provide a depot and total business management services to the couriers.

“It is working out very well, and I’m very happy as a Regional Franchisee,” he says.

For now Willie Day is focusing on the South East region where he says, “My goal is to help bring the region to be the best in the country.” One gets the feeling he could be well on his way to achieving this aim.

Tom Dillon - Courier Franchisee (West)

Top

Tom Dillon, Courier Franchisee in the West, originally purchased his Castlebar/Westport area almost 5 years ago. He built up his territory and split in 2007 with no loss to his initial income levels. At that time he serviced 42 customers all on his own. Over the years, Tom has grown his business by over 120%. Tom has been so successful in growing his business that he has taken on an extra driver in another territory early in 2007, in preparation for splitting once again!

Tom says his strategy for success is: “Delivering. People don’t order goods for no reason. If you deliver every parcel you get on time, then business will follow. You will always be remembered for the parcel you didn’t deliver.”

In terms of long term business goals, Tom says: “I wish to further capitalise on the hard work that I have put in over the years and envisage splitting my territory again to reap the awards.”
