€46,000 Raised

For four Irish charities, thanks to Pedal 4 Paul.

In September, Fastway Couriers staff, courier franchisees, clients, and friends honoured their friend and colleague, the late, Paul Martin by cycling over 1000 km’s around Ireland in 11 days, and raised €46K for The Irish Cancer Society, Children's Health Foundation, Pieta House, and the Irish Foster Care Association, all charities which hold a special place in the hearts of Paul’s family.

Pedal 4 Paul delivers for four Irish charities

Commenting on the success of the Pedal 4 Paul cycle event, Danny Hughes, CEO, Fastway Couriers said: “It is testament to Paul and his legacy that so many people gave up their time to take part in this event, while also raising money for these four very worthy charities. As Paul’s friend and co-worker, I am immensely proud of what Pedal 4 Paul has achieved, the new friendships that have been forged and inner strengths that the cyclists found when faced with those tough climbs, but it was so worth it when I think of the €46,000 which will be split between The Irish Cancer Society, Children’s Health Foundation, Pieta, and the Irish Foster Care Association, all of which hold a special place in the hearts of Paul’s family``.
Press Release

Paul Martin

In June of this year, we lost a giant of a gentleman, a dedicated dad, dear friend, and colleague.

As a dedicated family man, a passionate GAA community member, and a cornerstone to his colleagues all over the world, we paid tribute to Paul and his legacy by pedaling around Ireland, relay-style, covering over 1,000 km, while raising funds for The Irish Cancer Society, Crumlin Children’s Hospital, Pieta House, and the Irish Foster Care Association. These charities were carefully chosen by Paul’s wife Rita and their three children, Josh 22, Ben 17, and Grace 13, as they hold a special place in the hearts of the Martin family.
